First Pocket Mini Album

Ok so I've been on the internet the last few weeks looking at all the cool mini album projects. There are a few that really stand out and I will be posting links to all their sites on the side bar but would just like to say a special thanks to Marion at apieceofcraft.com and Bona at Keep on Scrappin . They have really inspired me to try a few more of these.

This one is called a pocket album and it is on several sites but I think Marion started it. It is made from envelopes cut in half and then covered with paper and emblished. Mine is made using the DCWV Luxury Stack, Labels under pics were from K & Company, Pima flowers, assorted ribbons, and the majority of my embelishments are from Making Memories. Tags were cut on Cricut.

Here are Heath and Alanas Birthday cards....I wanted to wait till they recieved them before I posted.

My Pink Stamper

The Pink Stamper set up a new website and couldnt get her old name so now it is "My Pink Stamper" she is having challenges and give aways all week to celebrate her 1,000,000 hit. Congrats Robyn!

Yesterdays challenge was to use any real old tools to make a page or card....well I didnt have anything but her card was Halloween so it inspired me to make this! The tree and pumpkin are from Cricut Paper Doll dress up cartridge.

New cards

These cards were made to tell our vet "get well" and to thank our alpaca rancher friend (Elegante Vellon) for helping deliver Tess.

Lots of new cards

Ive been holding back some pics of cards untill they were recieved in swaps. So here they are!

Swap - Black and White w/touch of color, I was really happy with the black and white and it was something I came up with and not something that I got an idea from on another site! I may make more like this.

Its a Girl!

Well we had our new cria yesterday. I got a little nervous and called for some help, but everything went fine. We think her name is going to be Contessa Royal, Tess for short. I'm still going out and checking everything ever few minutes but you would never believe her mom is a first timer let her nurse immediately and does not even leave her side for a second, but she is good and lets me handle her for the things I need to do. She was 16.6 I will go out and weigh her again in about an hour. One more to go in about 2 weeks.....Keep thinking Pink lol

Mini gift album

Found a cute project today at http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/ its a little album you can carry with you (only holds 3 pics). Came out pretty cute but the pictures aren't so hot...think its the color...looks like it doesn't match but it does. My camera is usually great so don't know whats up with that. Anyway check out their site. Theirs is much girlier (is that a word lol)

2 New Cards

Here are 2 new cards I worked on yesterday.

Saturday, April 11, 2009

Well I did some Easter cards for my grand babies and then sent them before I had a chance to get pics (there were packages to be sent and needed to rush). So hopefully I will work on something today or tomorrow, can't decide on birthday card for granddaughter or I've been looking at some neat card holders online I'd like to try. Then there is the explosion box that I should really get started on for mothers day....decisions, decisions. The pacas are going to get sheared on the 8Th of May so I will try to get some before and after pics. Before I had them I thought they looked pretty goofy after being sheared, now I kind of like it. Right now they are all wet as it is kind of snowing-raining out.
Have a good one!

Treats and Birthday cards

I have had several people ask about the treat pouches. Here is the web site where I got the idea from http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2008/09/diaper-fold.html as you can see it was again Dawn....she has lots of great videos. These are 6x6 like her video but she has also done some really cute 81/2 x 81/2 that would hold lots more.

I was a busy girl yesterday...I finished up some treat boxes I was making for hubby to take to work (10) and my sisters have birthdays 1 day apart so I made them both cards using the same idea but totally diffrent color schemes. Hope you like!

Natural task Light

Hey everyone, I was just looking for a good deal on a cuttlebug to add to my cricut, and when I went to the Joann site I saw that they had the Oti (or is it Ott?) light that is usually 90 for 30 and guess what color it is? Light Green:)

Card Holder

Did this turn out too cute or what! It is to hold my finished cards and envelopes....or I could give it to someone with a set of cards....hmmm we'll see. I got the matching pen idea from http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/ with the RSVP pens you can unscrew the end and insert matching paper. Finally something I finished and didn't think afterwards that I should have done something different. The front is a little pocket that you could put your postage stamps in. You could probably use it for a little Easter treat basket too.
Love it!

Pacas

Here are some pics we took of the Pacas the other day...some of the grass is just starting to green up so we let them out for a little bit to graze around.... .

New projects

Hi all,
I finally got some more things done today. 2 cards that are my version of a card I saw made on http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/ I tried to cut the stars with my cricut....had a little trouble putting them exactly where I wanted but since I didn't have a star punch I think it worked OK. I think they would be good for guy cards since I'm always wanting to do ribbon, and buttons and flowers. Also I did a page for our little sweetie Kaylee. It was kind of nice to do a summer picture when its so cold right now.

Paper Drawers

Walmart paper drawers finally came in so hopefully I will be doing some organizing tomorrow. Doing site to store was like getting a set for free, hmmmmm....wonder if I should get more?

Yesterdays Pages

Here are the pictures from yesterday. Makes me miss the grandkids...they are all so cute! Going to have to get some pictures of the youngest. I don't have any pages of her yet.

Went out to take care of the Alpacas this morning and thought how nice it was not to trudge through the snow....the whole yard is clear now. Of course it doesn't mean we won't have more...hubby won't let me put out the hose yet because we will still have some freezing weather so I'm still hauling water by hand.

Grandma

I did a layout of my grandma today and also 2 pages for Easter. Feeling like I actually got something acomplished. Still waiting for Walmart site to store to get my paper drawers. The store was out so I did site to store about a week ago.....by the time they get here the store will probably have them again! I will take some pictures of the pages I did tomorrow.

Old Supplies

Well after getting 2 new Cricut cartridges today (Paper dolls and Home Accents) and a silent setter for little grommets (special at Roberts for 1.99, had to ask if that was the right price, I love to find a bargain!) I did a scrapbook page and didn't use any of it. I'm trying to use up my old supplies and I had an old header that said Summer Days so I did a page with my GD and GS playing in the sprinkler. I'll try to get it up loaded tomorrow as it is very late now. I also found a neat box to store and dispense ribbon at Walmart. I'll try and show you that too.
